I grew up surrounded by flavors and aromas that permeated my father gourmet shop in Umbria, the green heart of Italy. I played among sacks of cocoa and coffee , jars of spices from all over the world and , in season, between baskets of mushrooms and truffles precious earth. Growing up in the middle of all these gastronomic delicacies woke certainly my curiosity about the excellence of the cuisine. During my career in the field of tourism marketing in Italy , France and Spain have had the opportunity to meet vibrant and exotic places . No matter where I take my travels , always ended in a local market discovering and tasting the typical products of the region and then fill my suitcase with these gastronomic souvenirs. After working in Spain -my adopted country with different wineries in the Ribera del Duero , being a member of the Association of Sommeliers of Salamanca and considering my insatiable culinary curiosity , I decided in 2003 to convert the passion of my life in my business. Alacarta was created to share my love of wine and gastronomy with all those who , like me, believe that these products are part of the cultural expression of a region. In Alacarta we are convinced that explore , test and taste the wines and culinary specialties of land represents a different way of traveling and meeting destination thoroughly. To launch Alacarta with the best possible preparation , I spent a major tour and visit the most prestigious wine regions of Spain , Italy and Portugal time. I learned to taste olive oil, cheeses , vinegars and other gourmet products and participated in unforgettable wine tastings led by wine experts who , over time , have become good friends. Through these experiences, I have merged my background in marketing and tourism with my professional knowledge acquired as a sommelier and expert in culinary themes from Alacarta to offer high quality products and services.
